PETER ANDRE PERFORMS IN GHOST THE MUSICAL

Last night Peter Andre took to the stage at the Piccadilly Theatre joining cast members of the West End production  of Ghost The Musical to perform a unique collaboration.

Peter Andre performed the infamous pottery scene, singing the musical’s iconic song ‘Unchained Melody’ as the character ‘Sam Wheat’ along-side leading lady Caissie Levy who plays ‘Molly’ in Ghost the Musical as part of BBC Children in Need Pop Goes The Musical - a series of West End performances by pop stars to help raise money for the charity.

His appearance reduced many waiting females to overwhelming tears of joy and wolf whistles!

Peter said:, "I was so impressed when I went to see Ghost The Musical, it was one of the best shows I've ever seen. So when I was approached by BBC Children In Need to get involved, I jumped at the chance and just hope that I did it justice! The cast were great and it was so much fun working with them and raising money for an amazing cause all at the same time."

Richard Fleeshman, who normally plays ‘Sam Wheat’ in the musical was on hand to give support, as was The Only Way is Essex’s Amy Childs and Harry Derbidge who came to watch Peter’s performance along with the singer's proud mum and brothers.

BBC Children in Need POP Goes the Musical 2011 is working with the best of West End Theatre and a star studded line up. This unique charity project is giving renowned celebrities from the music sphere the chance to perform a hit song with a top show, to take place in September to help raise vital funds for disadvantaged children and young people here in the UK.
