    Produced by Disney Theatrical Productions, The Lion King has direction from Thomas Schumacher and a book by Roger Allers and Irene Mecchi. Its iconic soundtrack has lyrics from Tim Rice and music from Elton John. Julie Taymor brings direction, costume design and puppet and mask design.
