DISNEY'S THE LION KING TICKETS REACH SALES RECORD!

Disney’s The Lion King tickets flew out of the jungle in 2010 with total sales of more than £34 million during 2010 - an increase of £2 million on 2009’s previous figure and the highest sales of any West End musical production in Theatreland history!

The Lion King attendances over 2010 topped 820,000, almost 19,000 watching the musical in the final week of the year. This brings the number of Lion King tickets sold over the nine million mark. A staggering figure since the show opened in London’s Lyceum Theatre on 1999. Meanwhile, worldwide ticket sales have generated total revenues of £2.7 billion.

So if you’ve not seen Disney’s The Lion King yet, make 2011 your year to do it!
